I see a 5:27 version in the database that is listed as NOT the 12" version (which, according to the label, runs 5:28.)
Can anyone tell me what sets this one apart from the 12", so that if I find a five and a half minute version, I can know whether or not I have the original 12"?

Also, has the b-side of this song ever shown up on CD? "Como Tu Te Llama? (What Is Your Name)" got played quite a bit on South Florida radio back in 1986.

I think the remixes are modern remixes. A check of Amazon lists the extended and a dub on 12"

Indy500, that's a good link... and it gets you the 12" mixes on the original German maxi-single (shown here):
http://www.discogs.com/Sly-Fox-Lets-Go-All-The-Way-Multi-Mix /release/628062
However, there appear to have been three 12" single versions released in the United States:
The 5:10 album version:
http://www.discogs.com/Sly-Fox-Lets-Go-All-The-Way/release/1 700552
Extended Blix, Diamond Dub, & Short Blix:
http://www.discogs.com/Sly-Fox-Lets-Go-All-The-Way/release/3 30583
and the one I'm searching for,
The Extended Version b/w Bonus Beats:
http://www.discogs.com/Sly-Fox-Lets-Go-All-The-Way/release/1 98928
I actually found an mp3 download of the Bonus Beats... but they hadn't ripped the "A" side! Aarugh... and like I said, apparently the 5:27 version listed in the database doesn't match this 5:28 version (am I understanding that correctly?), otherwise I could just buy that CD and be done with this.
So the quest continues: what are the differences between the 5:27 version in the database and the 5:28 version on the 12" linked to above?
As always, your help and comments are appreciated!

I definitely have the last two on 12", and I'll try to dig them up and dub them for you, if that's what you're looking for.
I'm pretty sure the 5:28 version on CD IS the same as the 12" version, though. In fact, I always thought the LP and extended versions were the same. I never paid attention that there was also a 5:10 version.

Bonus beats:

Diamond Dub:

Multi-Mix (I thought this was a modern remix but youtube has a picture of a vinyl disc with a sticker that says: contains parts by Queen and Fly Girl by the Boogie Boys).

Extended Blix:

Lp version (5:06): This is exactly like the "extended" version on the CD Pulsating Grooves except for a beat break at the 4:15 mark that lasts about 20 seconds which accounts for the time difference. Just prior to the Nay, nay, nay ending section.

I don't have the vinyl to check but I'd bet the extended version is the lp version with this extra bit. And the database is wrong or someone is confusing all these versions. Otherwise, to my ears, they are the same.
I didn't know there were this many versions of the song. Let me know what you think.

The "Multi-Mix" is pretty darn cool (although the scratching is kind of weak). "A Fly Girl" has always been one of my favorite hip-hop tracks from that era. A kid used to play that on the bus ride to school every morning back in '85.
I have Pulsating Grooves, and I'm 99.9% sure it matches my 12" Extended Version (vinyl). I'll try to check tonight if time permits.

Yeah, that Multi-Mix IS clever... had no idea at first that it was an official remix... I assumed some clever DJ had put it together years later. :)
I'll be very curious to hear what you find on Pulsating Grooves!

My 12" single is Capitol 15216 with a listed time of (5:10). Flip side is Como Tu Te Llama (extended remix). How many different 12" singles were there anyway?

There must be at least 3 US 12" singles, because I have two of them, and neither are the one you have, Pat.

Discogs lists three different ones released in the U.S., and a 4th, different one, released in Germany (and perhaps elsewhere).
This one includes:
Extended Blix Mix (4:59)
Diamond Dub Mix (5:13)
and
Short Blix Mix (3:57)
..and was apparently released as SPRO-9643, SPRO-9644 (or is that the B-side?), & V-15222.
This one included:
Let's Go All The Way (5:10)
Como Tu Te Llama? (What's Your Name?) (Extended Remix)
and
Como Tu Te Llama? (What's Your Name?) (Dub Version)
Finally, the version I'm looking for is this one, which includes:
Extended Version (5:28)
and
Bonus Beats (5:18)
There was one other variation on these combination issued; here is one example from Germany containing:
Multi-Mix (6:57)
Diamond Dub Mix (5:13)
and
Short Blix Mix (3:54)
Hope this helps!
