I noticed a couple of edits on Now That's What I Call Music cds that are
not reflected in the database.
The version of "Lovegame" by Lady Gaga on Now That's What I Call Music
32 is edited. At 0:29 of the LP Version, she is getting her ass squeezed by
Sexy Cupid, but at 0:29 of the Now Version, I have no idea what's getting
squeezed because the word "ass" is deleted. I believe this is the same
edited version that VH1 played but I don't recall radio playing that edit. Is
this from a promo? I'm not sure.
The version of "Pop, Lock & Drop It" by Huey on Now That's What I Call
Music 25 is also edited. At 2:07 of the Album Version, Huey is telling
"poplockin' cockblockers" to "get up out the way." But at 2:07 of the Now
Version, I don't know who is supposed to get up out the way because the
term "cock blockers" is scrambled. This is, in fact, the version that I recall
hearing on the radio but I don't know whether it comes from a promo cd
or is some kind of custom edit.
The database has no designation next to these Now versions and does not
reflect that they are not the LP Versions for these songs.

I have a few more from Now 38, but I don't have the timings.
Adele's "Rolling in the Deep" is censored on Now 38. The LP Version line is "go ahead and sell me out and I'll lay your shit bare" (although some have debated whether "shit" is "ship" because they cannot imagine such a foul word coming out of Adele's seemingly wholesome mouth). Regardless whether it is "shit" or "ship," the word is scrambled on Now 38. This censored version is the only version I've ever heard on the radio, so I don't know if it is on the promo cd that way or not.
I also know that Katy Perry's "E.T." (featuring Kanye West) is censored on Now 38 but, for the life of me, I remember making a mental note of the censorship but can't recall where the censorship occurs. It is perhaps on the line "maybe it's because your boy Yeezy gets ass a lot."
Also, not a censorship issue but the version of "More" by Usher on Now 38 is the album version, which I have never heard on the radio or anywhere else. I believe the remix is/was the hit version, but I understand that that may not be the case in other parts of the country. If I am correct, should it be noted that the remix is the hit version and that the version on Now 38 is the LP Version which is not the hit version?

Unless I am mistaken, the version of "More" on Now 38 is the version available only as a digital download from the "Raymond v Raymond" downloadable version of "Raymond v Raymond". There is also a digital download available of the "Red One Jimmy Joker remix" available for download only. Which version is the 45 version is a good question because nowhere on the Billboard Hot 100 chart does it indicate that the charting version is a remix. Perhaps Paul Haney can share Billboard's intent as to which version is the "hit" version.

Regarding "More," JL328 is right that the Red One Remix is the hit version for top 40 radio. Both pop stations in Dallas played only this version. TM Studios and Promo Only (radio service) only issued the remix. I don't think urban radio really touched the song, at least not in my area. I don't think it made the Billboard R&B chart, either.
Regarding "E.T." with Kanye, I've heard more than one clean edit. I don't know if the "cleaner" of the two is a custom job by one of the radio services, like Promo Only, or if it was issued officially that way.
In Kanye's verse, there is a line that says, "I be so far u-u-u-u-up, we don't give a fu-u-u (record slow down effect)." The line with the word "ass" is the one where I've heard it both ways. My local top 40 plays the song with "ass" uncensored. My TM Studios HitDisc has that word muted, which I'm not sure comes from the record label or not.
