I have a 3:08 "Single Edit, Rap-less" version on a TM Century disc, which I always thought was from the promo CD. Looking closer at one of the promos (there may have been more than one), it appears this mix is not on there. Here is the promo info I have, obtained from online:

Imago IM 28046-2-DJ
1. Single Edit (4:11)
2. SoBe Mix (Single Edit)* (4:08)
3. SoBe Mix (Single Edit, rap-less)* (4:08)
4. Trance Mix (6:08)
5. Underground Mix (Single Edit)* (4:06)
6. Extended Version (6:20)
7. Single Edit* (4:08)
* indicated on the back sleeve as remixed by Tony Garcia

Perhaps the version I have really is one of these mixes. Can anyone confirm the run times?

Aaron, I do have this promo CD single, and here are the actual times:
1-(listed 4:11; actual 4:09)
2-(listed & actual 4:08)
3-(listed & actual 4:08)
4-(listed 6:08; actual 6:07)
5-(listed & actual 4:06)
6-(listed 6:20; actual 6:19)
7-(listed 4:08; actual 4:10)

Based on these timings, it does not appear that the (3:08) TM Century rapless version appears on this particular promo CD single. This was the only promo CD single that we received into the station for the song back in 1993. We added it early on, and the song did very well for us. Perhaps stations more hesitant than us to add it were looking for a shorter version of it, and got it, via that TM Century disc you own, or a second promo CD single that we don't currently know of. For the heck of it, I also just checked my friend Tom's master promo CD single inventory for you, and he also owns just the one promo CD single, that we've both just detailed.

Jim, thanks a million for all your detective work. It's very plausible that a TM custom edit was done in this case. There aren't any mix differences or unique audio popping out at me on this one.

Hmmm... I found this track listing for a UK CD single:

1 7" Edit (3:16)
2 Single Mix (3:55)
3 Red Underground Vocal Mix (6:28)
4 Red Underground Dub (6:28)
5 Trance To Dance Mix (6:08)
6 Original Club Mix (6:20)
7 Pirate Mix (5:16)

Does anyone own this disc? Of course, sometimes the single versions in other countries were not even the same mix as the hit version in the US, so it may or may not be a match.

I just obtained a copy of the same promo CD that Jim has, and I'd like to add that the last track ("Single Edit") is the exact same mix as the first track, except they have covered up some of the word "joint." So, it sort of sounds like "smoke it, like it's a ..oint." I'm sure this was due to conservative stations not wanting to add both a song that had rap and a drug reference.

Just today, I was able to confirm the existance of the "rap-less" version of "More And More." It was issued on a 1-track promo CD single with catalog number IM28051-2-DJ. The version is listed as "Single Edit, Rap-less" with a listed time of 3:14.

Thanks a million for passing along the specifics of this new promo CD single, Aaron!! As you well know, having details such as "catalog" #'s, often hard to come by for promo CD singles, are often half the battle in the quest to try to locate/acquire them some years later!

Just wanted to add that the actual time of the 1-track rapless promo is 3:09. I now have an original copy in my possession.
