My commercial 45, which is stereo, has a listed time of (3:35), but an actual time of (3:32).

Oh, really? So that mono edit I have on CD must be the mono promo, not the true 45 verison.

Brian, I also happen to have two copies of the promo 45. Only one side, for both promos, is "I Don't Know How To Love Him" (the flip side for both is "Overture: Jesus Christ Superstar".) However, both promo 45s for the "I Don't Know..." side state, and are in fact, stereo, and happen to be the same listed (3:35), actual (3:32) version as my commercial 45. I do know that the 45 version and the "Original Soundtrack" version are different. Brian, I honestly have no idea where a legitimate mono 45v could've come from, unless other promo or stock 45s were also released in 1971.

my commercial 45 issued as decca 32785 is also in stereo...
