The 45 version is an easy edit from the LP version.

I have the LP version on four different Time-Life 2-CD
sets, all of which are digital clones of each other, and
on Sony's 3-CD set Feel The Love (1994). All
sound very good.

Here are instructions for creating the 45 edit, based on
the timings from Time-Life's 2-CD Body Talk Vol. 13 -
Just The Two Of Us
(1997):

Keep 0:00.0 to 2:40.9 of the LP version.
Edit at the third-of-three tom toms in the short drum
fill right before the downbeat.
Remove the 72 beats from 2:40.9 to 3:46.8 of the LP
version. The edit will pick up also at the third-of-
three tom toms in the short drum fill.
Keep 3:46.8 to 4:56.3 (end) of the LP version.

Your mixdown will run 3:50.4 (with outro silence) or
about 3:47 (without outro silence), with one edit at
2:40.9.

Noticed you had posted editing instructions back in 2007 for this song as well. I knew I had the edit for several years based on someone's instructions back then. Look's like it was you. :)

Oh... I didn't see the thread in a search so I started a
new one. At least I'm consistent.
