my commercial cassingle for the elton john song "blessed" issued as rocket 852394 states the version and run time as "edit" (4:19).......i also have the promo cd single issued as rocket prcd 7077-2 and contains the below tracks
1-radio edit a (vocal ending) (4:05)
2-radio edit b (piano ending) (4:18)
3-album version (5:01)
the cassingle version is track 2

I thought the piano ending was the hit version. Its also what Whitburn has in his annual. Can anyone confirm?

Ed says in his post above that the cassette single is the piano ending version. Is that the info you were looking for?

No I just never before today heard the vocal ending and was wondering if it even got played since its the a edit.

I would imagine so, yes. For those curious, if you start with the Piano Ending version and edit out 3:57 to 4:11, you've got the Vocal Ending version. It truly does not end with vocals, so the version name is a bit misleading.

The music video uses the Vocal Ending.
The three edits to this song are:
1. 1:48 to 2:02
2. 3:46 to 4:11
3. 4:37 to 4:51
Edits #1 and #2 make up the Piano Ending, and all three make up the Vocal
Ending.
