I gave it a listen and A/B'd it with the stereo version on CD. As expected, it's the same stereo mix. I see that some promo 45s also are in stereo. Is the mono version a dedicated mix?

My promo 45 has this side in stereo but the
B side, matching the stock issue, is mono.

Yes, promo had one side stereo, but this post indicates the commercial 45 is
stereo! Very out-of-the-ordinary for a Bell 45 ca 1970.
