I own two different commercial 45s for this song: One is the listed & actual (3:42) version, already documented in the database, with deadwax of "ZSS 164427 1C". My other stock 45 is a listed (5:10), actual (5:06) version, that appears to me to be the same as the LP Version, with deadwax of "ZSS 165112 1D".

Found this version on YouTube, which claims to be from the 1996
compilation The Best of Cheryl Lynn: Got to Be Real. It starts off with a
count-in and the rest is the same as the single version. Does anyone know
the origin of it?

The count-in presumably originated with that Best of CD but it also appears on:
Realm's Ultimate Soul Classics Volume 1
Compass Production's Party Starter Disco Mix
Collectables' Ultimate Jukebox Hits of the '70s
Sony Special Products' Divas Forever
Sony Special Products' Soul Hits of The '70s
Sony Music's Pop and Soul Divas
Metacom's Just The Hits - R&B Party
Shout! Factory's Old School Soul Party
Sony Music CMG's Hits of The '70s cheap-o box set
