I noticed that Discogs has most of the US configurations (Cassette Single, Promo CD Single and Promo 45) of Cyndi Lauper's minor chart hit from 1989, "My First
Night Without You", listed as being an "Edited Remix". However, there doesn't appear to be any "Edited Remix" notation on the actual labels themselves. So does
anyone here have any of the single configurations and can elaborate on which versions appear on them? They all say, "Taken from the Epic LP, 'A Night To
Remember'", which makes me think that they may all contain the Album Version. A remixed version might say, "Original Version appears on the Epic LP 'A Night To
Remember'".

Thank you to anyone who can shed some light on this!

Here's something to note, Dan:

The US promo CD, US commercial 45, and US commercial cassette single all contain a credit that states "Mixed by Steve Thompson and Michael Barbiero". I
noted that Thompson & Barbiero do not receive a credit at all on the parent album A Night to Remember. I think this is a good indicator
that the US singles feature the remixed version despite the labels confusingly stating that the track was "Taken from..." the album.

Further circumstantial evidence: the remixed version appears as Track 1 on the UK picture disc CD single, where it receives a "Special Version Taken
from..." notation along with the Thompson & Barbiero mixing credit.

Ah, good detective work, Eric! I don't have the "A Night To Remember" album and I didn't bother looking up any of the credits for it, which I should have
done. Thanks for the information!

Here's the single mix. It shows the cover of the CD single so i'm
guessing that's the source.....

I like the single mix. The differences are subtle, but it seems to add a little warmth to the overall track. The album version is very dry, which works with the overall feel of the album, and is
also very similar sonically to the previous single "I Drove All Night".
