Since the database now includes Jim's promo single info, I thought I'd pass along that commercial 45 copies of Rick Astley's "Giving up on Love" run 4:06. (Timing info compliments of our good and helpful friend abagon. The printed record label time is 4:07.)

Noticed a slight mix difference between the version on
Playlist (2008), which is labeled as "single
version", and what I think is the LP version on PolyTel
Canada's Big Hits '89 (1989).
It seems that the LP version has the opening drum hits
(after the first two) being centered, while the 45
version has them panning from right to left. There are
other mix differences, but this is the easiest way to
tell one from the other.
The version on TM Century's HitDisc 781A matches the
"single version" on Playlist.

I don't see labels on any of the CD releases of this song in the database, even though the "7 inch pop version", "7 inch r&b version". commercial copies, and apparently the LP version all run about the same length (4:06).
CFTP suggests there are mix differences on at least two of them.
Has anybody ever been able to sort out the differences between 7" pop, 7" R&B, single, and LP mixes? Can we confirm that the version on playlist is the single version?
If anybody can do a deep dive on this one, it would be very much appreciated as I don't have access to any of the original releases to compare.
