This group was always frustrating as their singles
usually differed from the album versions. Some were
edits such as "Harden My Heart" (early fade), "Find
Another Fool" (promo edit) or "Talk To Me" (edit). But,
others were remixed such as "Right Kind Of Love" and
"Walking On Ice." Their compilations have simply been
collections of the album versions of their songs. Are
the single versions available anywhere else other than
the original 45s?

The most glaring edits, I thought, was in 'Take Another
Picture". They chopped off half the intro, to start. The
difference in time between the 45 RPM single and the
'Best of' CD is 49-50 seconds. Unfortunately, I have a
strange feeling that the Universal Fire of 2008 got the
single masters. I could be wrong. -Bill.

Only three of the Quarterflash songs are listed in the
database. One is an early fade, about 14 seconds shorter
than the LP length, one is a DJ edit that is on an out of
print CD and the 3rd is the same as the LP version.

Makes sense - they only had three Top 40 hits. I was always surprised
they did not have more. “Walking On Ice” deserved to at least chart!
