I was listening to the Chocolate Factory CD, and was shocked to hear that Ignition (part 1, not the remix) was bleeped out during expletives. Is there no uncensored version of this CD?

Also, can anyone tell me how the 45 version differs from the others? Is the 45 version a longer version of the "remix", which is the mix I'm used to hearing on the radio, or is it a longer version of the original mix? Which mix is considered the hit mix, because I've only ever heard the remix on the radio.

As far as I know, there was not a censored and uncensored version of Chocolate Factory. Although I'm not exactly sure what that (3:41) 45 version is for "Ignition," I can tell you that the version that radio stations played did not have the segued intro with Part I. If you listen to the CD version, there's a slight vocal overlap before the spoken intro to the remix. Perhaps the 45 version is a combination of Part I and the remix???

I was thinking the same thing. But it is like a 40 second difference, which seems like an awful long intro. I doubt any stations ever played the spoken intro if that is the case.

Sorry if my previous post was confusing. What I meant was that the version heard on the radio was pretty much identical to the CD version, but they eliminated the vocal overlap (about a second) on the intro. I believe the version listed in the database as "remix" and running (3:05) is the same version heard on the radio. It's just a few seconds longer than the CD and doesn't have the overlapping vocal from Part I.

(R Kelly sings "now let me see you" at the end of part I, and the "yoooouuuu" overlaps with the intro to the remix. On the radio version, you can't hear the "yoooouuuuu.")

Actually, I believe commercial CD single copies of "Ignition" contained the original mix. The song didn't become a bonafide hit until the remix came out and this was the version I always heard on the radio. As far as I know, the remix was never issued as a commercial single.

so, does anyone know if the "45 version" on Totally R&B Hits, which runs longer than any other mix, is part 1 with a portion of the remix at the end, the remix with a portion of the original at the beginning, or a completely different version?

The Album Version that runs around 3:45 was serviced to urban stations first. About 3:16 it has R. Kelly singing "I don't usually do this, but here's a preview of the remix", and then the first part of the remix version starts and fades out.

Then the Remix was serviced to CHR/Pop & Rhythmic Stations and clocked in at 3:05. This was the version that most stations played. It was very different from the album version and much more upbeat.

Just curious but does anyone know if the Thoia Thoing edit from Primecuts which is 2:58 has ever made it to a cd or cd promo? It's lossy, can't find it anywhere.
