My Back Trax CD single has the glitch too. Back Trax is also slightly faster than the LP version and the 45 mix I had on a TM Century Golddisc.

So just to clarify, the 45 and LP speeds were the same (and the CD single was incorrectly slightly faster)?

Ok, I messed up before. I just compared the Hits version speed to the Back Trax CD and I had to pitch up the Back Trax version .14 percent to match the Hits version. So the Back Trax in it's normal state is slightly slower than the Hits version.

Can someone post the instructions for re-creating the 45 version? I thought I had it but it was "raspberry beret."

Yes, if you start with the version on "The Hits," you just need to create a
bell-curve fade from 2:53ish to 3:08.

Fun discovery: my reissue Back to Back Hits 7” (b/w “1999” on GWB
0468) is marked 3:08 but runs around 4:30, so I suspect they used the
long promo version.
