Other than the 45 being mono, is "Want Ads" just an edit of the Sweet Replies LP version?

my notes say that the 45 is just an early fade to 2:38 of the version from their greatest hits cd...the cd is stereo while the 45 is mono..........other than that i don't see any differences.......

Grant will soon be chiming in, I'm sure, as mix differences on this song are one of his favorite topics.
I haven't taken the time to listen closely, but he tells me there are some mix differences between the stereo and mono versions. Fortunately I have the mono mix on a couple different CDs.

No. Again, it's a dedicated mono mix. There is no background vocals on the second chorus, and the overall mix is drier. It also fades earlier.
