I have this box set as an import, not the domestic box set that Pat lists in the database. Can somebody tell me if the import box has the EXACT same single versions as those in the domestic box (mono, stereo, etc.)? Thanks to anybody who can help.

Yes, as far as I know, but the real place to ask is www.stevehoffman.tv. That's where all the real Beatles experts are.
The CD singles box uses the proper tapes for everything except Please Please Me/Ask Me Why single. The original UK and US singles for that did not have any reverb on them at all. Those two songs have never appeared on CD without the reverb, except on bootlegs taken from vinyl.

Brian,
Thanks for the advice. I am most concerned that my import box contain the exact same mono versions (where appropriate) as the mono singles in the domestic box. Thanks again.

Of course, these are all British configuration singles, not original US singles,
so some A-sides are not there and some b-sides are different.
Otherwise, the CD singles collection should primarily be the same wherever
it was released.
