i need the classes help here..........does anyone own the cd "aretha" from 1986..........because.........the commercial 45 runs 5:12 and has aretha and keith richards yelling "ALRIGHT" at the end and then there is chatter and what sounds like drum sticks dropping........it's possible that this is from the spill over into the next track on the cd because the "greatest hits 1980-1994" cd doesn't have any of this on it........also...the db should classified the versions availble as "OTHER"......another note........the cd "greatest hits 1980-1994" isn't even listed in the db........any reason??

"Jumpin' Jack Flash" as found on the cd "Aretha" is identical to the version on the vinyl LP "Aretha". The 45 has :10 of additional studio chatter as you mention Ed, that is not found on the LP.
I am puzzled by your question of why the cd "Greatest Hits (1980-1994)" Arista 18722 is not included in the database Ed because it is included in the database!

(S) (5:01) Arista 8442 Aretha (LP version which does not include :10 of stage banter found on the ending of the 45 version)
(S) (5:01) Arista/BMG Heritage 50897 and 52877 Platinum & Gold Collection (LP version which does not include :10 of stage banter found on the ending of the 45 version)

I see where you're coming from, Ed... You're saying that "Jumpin' Jack Flash" appears on Aretha Franklin's Greatest Hits (1980-1994) CD but the database doesn't indicate this. I think I know why... According to the All Music Guide website (www.allmusic.com), "Jumpin' Jack Flash" was issued as a bonus track only on select pressings of the Greatest Hits (1980-1994) disc. Sounds like your copy may have the bonus track, Ed, while Pat's may not.

Ed, I just went to Ebay to try and find a copy of this cd with "Jumpin' Jack Flash" and several sellers mention that "Jumpin' Jack Flash" was not on the US issue of this cd. Can you examine your cd carefully to see if it was made and distributed in the US?
