I just noticed that the Carpenters' "Goodbye to Love" appears to switch to mono at the 3:45 point on the A Song for You (A&M 828393511) CD. Was the original 45 like this?

This is very unusual Todd as both of my copies of "A Song For You" A&M 828393511 and 750213511 do not switch to mono for the song "Goodbye to Love" at 3:45 nor does the 45.

My commercial 45 for this, which is stereo, has both a listed and actual time of (3:50). 23 of the 24 current database CD appearances state a time of between (3:53) and (3:58) for it, while the lone current (3:50) length CD features the start of the next track bleeding over its ending. Just one MORE Karen & Richard headache, for the several Carpenters' "45 Version Completists" on this Board...
