anyone know if any of the cds that contain the song

Ed:

If you want to e-mail me an mp3 of the 45 version, I'll see if I can edit it down from CD for you.

I took a stab at it and found that I couldn't replicate one piano beat in the
edit. I actually ordered a couple of NOS singles for restoration.

The CD I have (Best of TJ) has the worst sound quality of any cd I've ever
purchased - it almost sounds like a poor tape dub. I think I can do better
with a near-mint vinyl single.

I have two MP3s. A 7 minute version and a shorter 4 minute version that I
am not certain of. Do those sound familiar or would you like me to send you
a copy?

I have a rip of a 45 I had from years ago, although it's quite scratchy. I've got
a couple of new old stock singles coming so I'm hoping that I can just
restore those. The Best Of CD I have is terrible as far as audio quality, so I'm
hoping I can just remaster the vinyl with my tools to have an acceptable dub.

I only own a promo 45 for this. It has the same stereo version on both sides, with listed times of (3:33), but actual times of (3:26). Does anyone own a stock 45 for this, who could see if these new promo 45 timing details may also apply there?

jim, it's taken over 6 years for someone to time their
commercial 45 in response to your question.....my
commercial 45 lists a run time on the label as 3:33 and
runs 3:26, like your dj copy.......in addition, my
commercial copy has a neat butterscotch colored
vinyl....never seen one like THAT before!!

Thanks, Ed. Since my late 2007 post, I had acquired a stock 45 for it. So in a
way, I guess I was holding out on answering my own question, as well!
(sigh...)
