Can anyone help me out? I need the Billboard "Hot 100 Airplay" chart #1s for December of 1998 through January of 2000. I need the peak date and weeks at #1 for each of them.
What I'm actually after is which songs were #1 in airplay that were NOT commercial single releases. Of course they were eligible to chart on the Hot 100 at that time, but since most songs were still being commercially issued, airplay-only songs were still at a disadvantage at that point. So basically, I want to know the #1 airplay info for those 14 months so I'll know what songs MIGHT have been #1 if they had been commercial singles.

Hey Brian, here's the list of songs that hit #1 on the Airplay chart but not #1 on the Hot 100 for that time period:
Slide - Goo Goo Dolls - 2/27/99 - 1 week
I Want It That Way - Backstreet Boys - 7/17/99 - 3 weeks
All Star - Smash Mouth - 8/7/99 - 5 weeks
Mambo No. 5 - Lou Bega - 10/2/99 - 6 weeks
Back At One - Brian McKnight - 12/18/99 - 6 weeks
Hope this is what you were looking for!
