My commercial 45, which is stereo, has a listed time of (3:18), but an actual time of (3:15).

Regarding Carl Douglas' "Kung Fu Fighting", does anyone know if the 3:06 mono length that has appeared on several database CDs is a mono DJ 45 version/mix/length?

It is the Mono DJ single side of the promo 45.

Thanks, Kent! Do you detect any unique mix differences or edits on the mono DJ 45 side compared to the stereo 45 version, other than the obvious left/right channel separation?

The mono DJ 45 length is not (3:06). The stated time on the mono side of my DJ 45 is (3:18) and the actual time is (3:15). Deadwax matrix number is M2140AM-2, mastered by Al Brown. CSM (Columbia Santa Maria) vinyl pressing.

Thanks for the clarification, Yah Shure. It's interesting to see the printed and actual run time info for the mono DJ side is identical to that of the stereo commercial 45.

My copy was listed at 3:06 on the label. I checked our actually used on air promo, it is 3:15 with 3:18 crossed out. Other than better bass, identical to the Stereo side.
