pat

the commercial 45 of supertramp's "my kind of lady" issued in 1983 as a&m 2517, states a running time on the label of 4:12 but it actually runs 4:06 and is an edit of the 5:12 full lp version.....

For the editors: The 45 version cannot be re-created by editing the LP version. There is a one second section of the song that is different on the 45.

It's at the part where there is a slight pause (after the first verse?). That part cannot be edited from the LP version.

Is the single version available on CD or digital download?

Despite making it into the top 40 on Billboard's charts
(#31), I didn't find this one in the database. My
subscription is a few years old... has it been added?

Yes Gene, it is in the online database with just three
listings (all the LP version).
