ummmm... just a little curious here... this single, in its entire chart run of 20 weeks from 5/11/85 til 9/28/85 was listed as "you give good love"... now it is apparently titled "you give good love to me", at least according to the database... when did it acquire the "to me" tag??? i always remember the original vinyl and 45 version and of course the double entendres... is this a classic case of censorship, or what???

John, you're right, of course. Whenever there are as many entries as Pat has in his database, this is bound to happen on occasion. If Pat has "to me" on the end of the title (I didn't check myself), I'm sure he will soon correct it, and delete those last two words. Hey, even the ultra-respected Joel Whitburn, according to my books, always lists the old Brenda Lee hit as "Rusty Bells." My original 45 has the title as "Rusty Bell." Of course, there could always have been two commercial 45 issues for that one...

There must have been two different pressings of the Brenda Lee 45 Rusty Bells as my original single lists the title as "Rusty Bells".

Our commercial copy also shows title as "Rusty Bells".

Thanks, Pat and Paul. I figured as much, which is why I never mentioned it here earlier. Maybe I got an early pressing of it, that was later corrected. Similarly, my 1976 commercial 45 of "Misty Blue" spells her first name "Dorthy", not "Dorothy" (Moore), yet I see in all the books the latter spelling, so this is likely another example of an "after-some-45s-got-out" correction. I just thought that you two guys should at least be aware of the fact that some "Rusty Bell" and "Dorthy" commercial 45s did, in fact, make it out to consumers.
