Can anyone furnish the actual vinyl 45 and LP run times for Bread's "Make It With You"? I ask because the song's CD appearances in the database have run times ranging from 3:08 to 3:14. I'm wondering if this is due to a length and/or speed difference between the 45 and LP.

Todd, my commercial 45, which is mono, has a listed time of (3:14) and an actual time of (3:12). I had not previously reported these findings because the difference was less than Pat's long-established threshold, of at least a :03 second listed/actual timing difference.

Your info is immensely appreciated as always, Jim. Bread's 1970 LP release On the Waters was first issued on CD in 1996 on Rhino 73503 and then reissued this year on Wounded Bird 7407. According to the database, "Make It with You" runs 3:14 on both discs, which is only :02 longer than the 45 based on Jim's reported finding. If anyone has the vinyl LP release of On the Waters who can relay the song's run time on it, that would be helpful. Meanwhile, I'm guessing the CDs where "Make It with You" runs 3:08-3:09 is either fades slightly early or runs fast (or both).

The promo 45 (45686) is mono and listed (3:14). My copy is pretty noisy, so the fade gets lost in the noise around 3:12.
I also found the Spun Gold reissue (45054). Also listed 3:14. This is stereo and I could hear the music over the noise at least to 3:14.

Just bumping up this thread since the 45 and LP run time info for Bread's "Make It with You" haven't yet been updated into the database. To summarize, the commercial 45 runs 3:12, while the vinyl LP runs 3:15.
