Hey, gang, Whitburn lists Rita Coolidge's "(Your Love Has Lifted Me) Higher and Higher" at 3:30. All CDs in Pat's book list the run time as 3:57 to 4:00. However, I have a 3:31 (actual) version on the Razor & Tie CD two-disc set "Feelin' Good." It says licensed from A&M in the liner notes.

Does anyone have the 45 and this CD that can verify whether or not this is the 45 version of the song?

I do not have the "Feelin' Good" cd on Razor & Tie. In the old days, Razor & Tie used to have some cd's listed as for sale by mail order only and this could be one of those titles. But it doesn't matter because I just pulled out the 45 and compared it to the LP and the 45 is not an edit but just an early fade of the LP. The exact running time of the 45 is 3:30 as stated on the 45 label so all you have to do is fade the LP at this point and you have the 45.

Thanks, Pat.

I believe this was a mail order only CD, though I got it at a used record store. So was Razor & Tie "Changin' Times," which I've never been able to find, and that's the only place to get the Highwaymen's "Michael" in true mono, I hear.

FYI - The 45 length is also available on a 2-CD set from Warner Special Products called Feel Good Rock (1989).

my notes indicate that the 45 is just an early fade of the full length cd/lp version and fades to 3:30.....but i will double check when i can
