Pulled my promo CD single(s) for this one, as a favor for a friend. So, while I still have them out, I decided to post the particulars for all of them. Ironically, two of the promo CD singles have the EXACT same "stock" #, 374631168-2, despite one of them having 3 cuts, and the other promo featuring 6 cuts. The only numerical difference I could find between them was within the inner CD's "deadwax." The 3 cut promo's "deadwax" info says "4/94 1DA2", while the 6 cut promo's "deadwax info says "4/94 10DA1." My third promo CD single, with a "stock" # of "374631188-2", is another 6-track promo. And it features the EXACT same tracks as my other 6-track promo, but in a different running order. Here are all of the various promo CD singles' track info/order:
3-track promo CD single: (# 374631168-2)
1-LP Version (listed & actual 3:41)
2-Instrumental (listed 3:40; actual 3:38)
3-Acapella (listed 3:02; actual 3:01)
6-track promo CD single: (# 374631168-2)
1-Sticky Stamp Mix (listed 3:57; actual 3:55)
2-OG Bass Edit (listed 3:43; actual 3:42)
3-S.I.D's Mix (listed & actual 4:23)
4-Al's Edit (listed 4:15; actual 4:12)
5-LP Version (listed 3:42; actual 3:40)
6-A capella (listed & actual 3:01)
6-track promo CD single #2 (# 374631188-2)
1-LP Version (listed & actual 3:41)
2-A capella (listed & actual 3:01)
3-Al's Edit (listed 4:15; actual 4:12)
4-Sticky Stamp Mix (listed 3:57; actual 3:55)
5-OG Bass Edit (listed 3:43; actual 3:42)
6-S.I.D's Mix (listed & actual 4:23)

my commercial cassingle issued as motown 2242 states the version as the "lp version" which is true, but the track runs into the following track and you'll need to fade out the version from the cd
(S) (3:41) Motown 6369 Pronounced Jah-Nay
starting from the 3:33 mark for 0:08 to make it run 3:41.....otherwise your version will be truncated....

I am confused Ed. Are you saying your cassette single does not fade out by (3:41)? My cd version on the "Pronounced Jay-Nay" cd fades out at (3:41).
