Pat, my commercial 45 for this has a listed time of (3:53) and an actual time of (3:52), and there are NO drum taps or cymbal taps at the start - the first note is the lead guitar. The database currently states that "commercial copies were all (4:17)". My commercial 45's deadwax is "ST-A-39283-1." I also own a promo 45 for this. The "short version" has a listed time of (3:59), an actual time of (3:58), and has deadwax of "STA-39283-5". My promo 45's "long version" has a listed time of (4:17), an actual time of (4:14), and has deadwax of "ST-A-38821-1". I fully expect that there is a listed (4:17) commercial 45 out there as well, though - perhaps someone else would be able to confirm that.

For those interested, the short promo version is simply an early fade of the LP version. You can create this by chopping off everything past the (3:58) mark and doing a bell curve fade out from (3:44) to the end.

The short commercial 45 version has the same fade out as the promo 45, but the opening hi-hat/guitar string taps are chopped off.

Thanks Jim for the timing, and Aaron for the edit instructions.

In Audition, there is a bell curve preset already. I've also made a couple envelopes of my own.
