Does anyone know if the 12" version was released on CD? I think it's
called the "blaster mix" and there is a "radio" version as well on the flip
side. What a great mix.

There were a lot of cool 12" remixes out around that time that seem to have gotten lost. In addition to DITD, "Cover Me" & "Born In The USA" also had dramatically different 12" mixes.
I wonder if these were "authorized" remixes. I've heard that Bruce only very reluctantly allowed videos for his songs to be produced.

I know DITD is a Columbia 12", and I seem to remember seeing the others as
stock 12" singles, so I assume Bruce was aboard.

I was never a big one for 12" singles/remixes but it just so happens that I have all three of the Springsteen 12's mentioned above and the 45 single of "Dancing In The Dark" (which does have "Pink Cadillac" on the B-side.
The 12's are as follows:
Columbia 44 05028 - Side One: "Dancing In The Dark" (Blaster Mix) 6:09; Side Two: "Dancing In The Dark" (Radio) 4:50 and "Dancing In The Dark" (Dub) 5:30
Credits: "Additional 12" production and remix by Arthur Baker 12" Remix engineer Chris Lord-Alge"
Columbia 44 05087 - Side One: "Cover Me" (Undercover Mix) 6:05; Side Two: "Cover Me" (Radio) 3:46 and "Cover Me" (Dub II) 4:15
Credits: "Additonal 12' production and remix by Arthur Baker 12" Remix Enginer: Toby Scott Remixed at The Hit Factory"
Columbia 44 05147 - Side One: "Born In The U.S.A." (The Freedom Mix) 7:20; Side Two: "Born In The U.S.A." (Dub) 7:36 and "Born In The U.S.A." (Radio) 6:10
Credits: "Additional 12" production and remix by Arthur Baker for Arthur Baker Inc. 12" Remix Engineer: Toby Scott Remixed at Shakedown Studio, New York City Edits by The Latin Rascals"

I didn't realize that there were 2 more Authur Baker remixes. The DITD
remix is incredible...doesn't ruin the original. Thank God my 12" is in
good conditon. I still remember picking that one up when I was 10 years
old in the record store!
