According to my research, there's a promo CD single release for Akon's "Don't Matter" that contains the following track listings and printed run times:
1) Radio Edit - 4:09
2) Main - 4:53
3) Instrumental - 4:53
Could anyone who has this promo single please pass along the actual run times and the catalog number? (I'm not really concerned about the instrumental version since that version obviously didn't garner any widespread airplay.)

Interesting note here. My version from JonesTM must be the 'Main', as the run time is 4:51. So, is that the version radio embraced?

Not necessarily, eriejwg. I believe this was one of those songs that many stations started playing before the record company had a chance to issue it as a promo single. When JonesTM saw it charting, they probably just pulled it off of the full length album for HitDisc release. Later, an official "Edit" was released. Promo Only also did their own "edit" although it might just be an early fade. I think their version runs about 4:20 or so, and it doesn't match the promo CD.

JonesTM, on other library discs, has the 'radio edit', so they issued both versions.

Thanks, Paul, for the confirmation. I'm pretty sure my local Top 40 station always played the Radio Edit.
