Hi People,
Does anyone know if there are any diferences between the single, promo & album versions of "Another Heartache" by Rod Stewart?
Does anyone even own the CD with the album version? (It didn't sell well & was deleted swiftly).

Andy, we normally got in promos for all Hot 100 entries back in 1986, even the #52 BB peakers, but my notes state that I never saw one come for this particular song (I'll bet one does exist, though; WB would often send us just one promo 45 copy: maybe we got a cracked promo 45 copy for it in the mail, and we just chucked it - WB certainly wasn't burning up our phones trying to get us to play that song.) However, my commercial 45 has a listed time of (4:09), but an actual time of (4:13). I have no CD for that LP, but they probably did send us a promo vinyl LP for it, that I would have in my "auxiliary LP storage", Andy. It would take a little digging on my part to pull it, but if you really need a LP version timing for it, and no one else can help, let me know, and I'll be happy to "go a-diggin'" for ya.

Hi Jim,
Does your commercial 45 state "edit" of "fade" or any designation?

No "edit" or "fade" designation appears on my commercial 45, Andy.

I have a promo 45 of "Another Heartache". It is a stereo/stereo promo, listed as 4:09 on both sides. It does say "Edit" on the label, on both sides. Matrix numbers are 7-28631-A-SR1 on one side and 7-28631-A-SR2 on the other. It appears to have been pressed by Specialty Records, a pressing plant which was, at this point in time, owned by Warner Music, and typically handled Warner's pressing work for the eastern half of the country (Specialty's "S" logo is stamped into the trail-off vinyl). My copy also has a picture sleeve, but there is no information on the sleeve as to whether "Another Heartache" is an edit or fade.

Thanks for the info 'MCT1'
Does anyone out there own the CD version so I can listen to a dub of the track? I'm having a hard time finding a copy because it was one of his least-selling CDs.
I'm interested in this track because it got some airplay at the time where I live (It reached #38 on R&Rs CHR chart).
