The actual and printed commercial 45 run time for ZZ Top's "I Thank You" is 2:58. (These timings come courtesy of Abagon.) This info is significant because currently all of the song's CD appearances in the database run 3:23. Therefore, we're likely dealing with a version or length difference between the 45 and LP. I will look into acquiring a dub of the 45 for further investigation, but until then can anyone provide further insight into the time difference?

Yes, if Abagon could point any differences before you acquire your 45, Todd, that would be great!

According to the newly updated database, it appears the 45 is an early fade of the LP.

The single version is slated to be on the July 2014 compilation "The Very
Baddest of ZZ Top."
