My commerical 45, which is mono and confirmed as Roulette 7024, has both a listed & actual time of (2:28). 7 of the 8 current database CDs for this song, which also run exactly (2:28), all feature the notation "neither the 45 nor LP version". Pat, I am not overly familiar with this song, so I'm wondering if you could provide particulars as to where the differences in the CD versions are, vs. the 45 version, whenever you happen to get a spare moment? Thanks.

Jim, the only CD I have "Do Something To Me" on is the 1989 Rhino Anthology, and it sounds like a completely different take than the 45. Right off the bat, there's some brass amidst the instrumentation on the first line of the CD track, which is not present during the same line on the 45. The 45's instrumentation is definitely more spartan during that same opening line.
The whistling and shouting during the song are also different between the CD and the 45.
