Regarding the song "Don't Ask Me Why" by Eurythmics (this duo seems to be a frequent topic of discussion on this board!), Edtop40 has confirmed for me that his commercial single copy runs 4:20, which is identical to the run time on the We Too Are One CD (Arista 8606). Meanwhile, the song only runs 4:11 on the Greatest Hits disc (Arista 8680) and should contain the comment: (faded :09 earlier than the 45 or LP).

I have the promo CD single sent to our local top 40 (Arista / ASCD-9880) in 1989, and it lists a running time of 4:21.
Although the single track on the CD is 4:22 in length, when silence is removed from the front and back it runs 4:21.20 from 1st drumbeat to absolute last note before dissolving into hiss.
