I have the album version on 2 Awesome (PolyTel Canada; runs 5:12) and Spotlight On Hits Vol. 7 (runs 5:12).

I have what appears to be the "album radio edit" (runs 4:17) on Hot Hits - Pop - Vol. 14 and Top Hits USA RH13 (faded a little early).

Here are instructions for creating the "album radio edit" from the album version; my timings are from 2 Awesome, but should be pretty close for whatever you use as your source:

Keep 0:00-2:17.6 of album version.
Edit on snare on syllable "vin" in the word "lovin'".
Remove the 32 beats from 2:17.6-2:38.5.
Keep 2:38.5-4:36.4.
Edit on true downbeat.
Put a 32-beat fade from 4:15.6-4:36.4.

Your mixdown will run about 4:15.6, with an edit at 2:17.6 and a 32-beat fade from 3:54.7 to 4:15.6.

Was there a dirty version of this song? I've always wondered because during the first choruses ("as long you know..."), there's the line "so you better not f-break it up." It sounds like the line was "f**k it up" and they dubbed another vocal over it. Anyone else notice this?

Is the "album radio edit" the single version?

Is anyone aware of an alternate promo containing the 3:59 version? This appears on the new TLC 20 compilation (and the previous Now & Forever: The Hits CD) and is 15-20 seconds shorter than the Album Radio Edit version.

Another question regarding "Baby-Baby-Baby"...

Anyone know if the Instrumental on the b-side of the cassette single runs the full 5:59 found on the promo CD, or is it shortened?
