my commercial 45 issued as mca 53484 does not state a version on the label but does have a listed run time of 4:19 (actual 4:18).....it should be noted that the 45 version fades out very slightly before the LP version......to re-create the true 45 version you must fade the lp version out from 4:12 to 4:19.....

I notice both the commercial 45 and cassette single of "Real Love" indicate they're remixed by Louil Silas, Jr. and that the "original version appears on the Jody Watley album Larger Than Life. That said, it appears there might be a 45/LP version distinction here that's not yet accounted for in the database. Can anybody pinpoint the difference between the 45 and LP version of "Real Love"?

This one has had me scratching my head for years. My copy of the Larger Than Life CD states that "Real Love" was remixed by Louis Silas, Jr., and I am unable to detect a difference between the 45 and LP versions (not counting the fade issue Ed brings up.)
Since the 45 came out several weeks before the LP, my guess is that they had originally planned on releasing different mixes on the 45 and LP but eventually changed their minds.
