my commercial 45 issued as lmr 74004 states the version on the label as the "radio mix" with a listed run time of 5:09 but the actual running time is 5:12 and is identical to the version listed below if you fade-out for 0:05 from the 5:07-5:12 mark...this will match the 45 perfectly....
(S) (5:15) LMR/RCA 61030 Best Of
strangely enough the cassingle issued at the same time has the same version but is issued with a different catalog number.....it is issued as lmr 84004....
note: billboard magazine at the time used the 45's catalog number (lmr 74004) in it's publication as the official single version and NOT the cassingles catalog number...
i've attached some of todd's notes from another thread because it is relevant
STEVIE B - IN MY EYES (LMR 74004A & B - promo 45)
A) Radio Mix - 5:14 (not 5:09 as stated on the record label)
B) Dancing Eyes - 5:16 (not 5:22 as stated on the record label; has a different cold, vocal ending than the one found on track 4 of the promo CD single below)
STEVIE B - IN MY EYES (LMRCDP-02 - promo CD single)
1) Radio Mix - 5:14 (not 5:09 as stated on the label)
2) In My House - 6:00
3) Bonus Spooge - 3:29 (not 3:34 as stated on the label)
4) Dancing Eyes - 5:17 (not 5:22 as stated on the label) (This mix segues into track 5)
5) Destiny Vs. Curiousity - 9:49 (tracks 4 and 5 together run (15:06).
Comments: Ed's commercial 45 copy of "In My Eyes" also states "radio mix" and runs 5:13. Again, the synthesized percussion sounds a little more prominent in the mix on the Best of Stevie B CD than on the 45, but this could have to do with the EQ being brighter on the CD. I'd be interested to get a second opinion on this as well if anyone would like to compare the two for yourself. As far as the promo releases, the "Dancing Eyes", "In My House", "Bonus Spooge", and "Destiny vs. Curiosity" are all remixes and I don't think any of them were widely embraced by Top 40 radio.

We had this release on A&M Canada (though the LMR label was shown). We were serviced at AM96 Cambridge with a promo called the "Severe Radio Edit". I know that many measures between verses were cut, and it faded on the last chorus, but I cannot remember all of the edits.
Anyone else ever hear this one?

I only reheard the dancing eyes mix a few years ago, but WKTU played the hell out of it during the 90's. Worth getting.
