Pat, I just received my Amazon order for the 3-CD "Hitstory" collection, which I painfully bought for just one version of one song, the as-stated-in-the-database, very elusive 45 version of "I'm Yours". Regrettably, this track does NOT appear on any of the 3 CDs. What I received is a U.S. CD, with a 2005 date stated inside the CD liner notes. My stock # doesn't seem to jive with the one you show in the database, Pat (Sony BMG Music 71247); my Sony BMG CD ends in "73176 2." It appears to me that two different "Hitstory" U.S. CD sets were released, with at least one track listing difference. I can provide a full track listing for my 3-CD set if you are interested, Pat.

Don't know what to tell you Jim as "I'm Yours" is track 13 of disc 3 on my cd "Hitstory" RCA 71247. Looking at some of the online web sites like CD Universe, the only catalog number they list is RCA 71247. Are you sure you didn't get an import disc?

I looked and looked for ANY import indications before my initial post, because I knew that would be your response, Pat. But I decided to check again anyway, this time with my magnifying glass. And sure enough, after 10 more minutes, I have stumbled upon one small possible clue; an extremely small "Made In The EU" (does this mean "Made In The European Union?"), buried within all of the "small print". Thanks for looking into it for me, Pat. Amazon did not mention anything about the copy that I was buying being an import, so I can only conclude that the merchant was also fooled as to its origin. As you know, most import CDs just seem to have an easy-to-discern, different look about them. And if this is indeed an import, it is the most "U.S. looking Import" I have ever seen, by a wide margin!

Jim:
I finally got around to checking my copy of the Elvis Presley Hitstory CD set. It is a U.S. pressing and it does indeed contain the 45 version of "I'm Yours".

Thanks, Todd. The Amazon Marketplace merchant didn't note on Amazon, or know himself that the copy he initially sold/sent me was an import copy, either. As I said earlier, import CDs are normally very easy for me to discern/detect; this one just didn't happen to be, for either me or the merchant. He accepted the return, gave me a full refund, and I have just ordered another one (hopefully a U.S. copy this time), directly from Amazon. So the "I'm Yours 45 version on CD saga" is hopefully finally winding down for yours truly! :)
