Can anyone tell me if the mix on "Very Best Of" (Target 1000) is a remix? I just purchased "The Golden Age of American Popular Music Volume Two" (Ace), and the version on there is a different mix.

David, I folded the stereo version from the Taragon cd to mono and A/B'd the 45 with it and they sound identical to me.

Hi Pat,
what I meant was that the positioning of the instruments are different between the Ace CD and the Target CD. I was wondering which mix would have been on the original stereo LP.

If Marty Wekser didn't specify on the BSN post about the ACE cd that the track was a fresh remix, it would be the original LP mix on their cd, or a british mix, which could very well have differed from the US mix... you may want to contact him to see if he can say what source ACE used for the song.
