My commercial 45, confirmed as Bang! 542, has a listed time of (2:48), but an actual time of (3:00). This looks like trouble for us "version people". Because, aside from two, (3:20) longer "remixed" current database CD versions, all of the other CDs that include the original recording run between (2:48) and (2:53). I wonder if the shorter, incorrect listed time on the 45 could have possibly caused some of the CD masterers to dump out of the song early. But, then again, I'm not surprised, because when it comes to Neil Diamond songs, is getting the proper 45 version on CD ever easy?

No kidding! Especially for his Bang stuff, even some Uni releases aren't the correct versions. Figures, it's his "good" material that's hard to find the correct versions of.
