Our commercial 45 of "Buzz-Buzz-Buzz" by the Hollywood Flames (Ebb 119) states a time of (2:08), but actually runs (2:12).

While digging deeper into this track I haven't been able
to find a version on CD that exactly matches the reverb
on the 45. The original 45 has slapback echo applied
over the whole track -- best heard at the break at 1:11,
but also with the handclaps. The 2:12 version on Time-
Life Solid Gold Soul is missing the echo altogether. I
suspect the other Time-Life CDs that run 2:12 are the
same. I've also checked Rhino's Doo-Wop Box, Ace's
Golden Age of American Rock n Roll, and Time-Life Rock &
Roll Era 1957 Still Rockin'. These all have MORE echo
than the original 45, as if someone tried to approximate
the original echo at a later date and went overboard.
These issues also run 4 seconds longer at the end due to
a longer fade. Anyone want to take a shot at adding the
appropriate reverb to the dry version?
