My stock 45, confirmed as Imperial 66138, has a listed time of (2:38), but an actual time of (2:43). This now brings the song to within :01 of its lone current database CD, which runs (2:42). FYI, my commercial copy does not include the "(All Of A Sudden)" title preface on the label, that appears in all of my Record Research books. In case my friend Paul Haney is interested, my 45's deadwax info is "IM-6138", with a "triangle 58902" appearing three inches later.

Jim, our commercial copy of Imperial 66138 indeed has the "(All Of A Sudden)" part in smaller letters above "My Heart Sings". Our deadwax info is "IM-6138-4". The listed time is (2:38) with an actual time of (2:41).

Thanks for the response, Paul. I just like to note these things, because I'm finding a surprising # of such minor label variations. I figure if I alert folks when I stumble onto a variation, vs. Mr. Whitburn's copy in Menomonee Falls, it's more of a stockpile of complete hit song info, for everybody to be informed of! I've noticed that sometimes he will make a note in his Record Research books of such things. Something like, "certain stock 45 copies show the title simply as "My Heart Sings", so it's there for you if wanted/needed.

What never fails to amaze me, jim, is the sheer number of pressing differences that exist between various 45's....sometimes there's a different mix, edit, etc... based on where it was pressed, or other things like that....so it's good to note even the minor label differences!
