Jim reports his commercial 45 copy of Foreigner's "Cold As Ice" has an actual and printed run time of 3:18. I'm passing along this info because the song's database CD entries containing a "45 version" comment run 3:13-3:19.

What is the difference between the LP and 45? Is it
just a 2 second early fade?

To Ringmaster D:
The 45 of "Cold As Ice" has overdubbed
strings. I believe it is a real string
section; however it could be a mellotron
or other string synthesizer/ensemble.
