Was there a cassette single for Janet Jackson's "Doesn't Really Matter"? I would swear I remember a two-track cassingle with the LP Version b/w the Instrumental. But I never bought it, Ed doesn't own it, and I can't find one online anywhere. Paul Haney might be able to help out on this one. I just want to know the tracklisting.

Sorry Brian, but we had switched to collecting CD singles only by the time this was a big hit in the summer of 2000. I don't know what's on the cassingle.

Oh, and I believe the version on Now 5 is the Radio Edit running 4:16.

Yeah, I saw that. That's the maxi cassette. I'm pretty sure there was a two-track cassette single in a card sleeve as well. Thanks for directing me to that, though.

This song appears on my copy of Janet's CD All For You (Virgin 10144), but is currently not listed in the database as on that disc (it's track 18). Perhaps an oversite.

There is a radio edit of Janet's "Doesn't Really Matter" running 4:17 on my Promo Only Mainstream Radio DJ CD subscription series.
And according to my research, there was a promo CD single release on Def Jam 15100 containing the following tracks and listed run times:
1) Radio Edit - 4:00
2) Instrumental - 4:38
3) Call Out Research Hook - 0:10
I specifically got this info from Discogs website and believe it or not the web page does mention the actual run time of the Radio Edit is 4:18! This caught me a bit by surprise because I'm not accustomed to uncovering detailed and accurate run time info like that anywhere else but here on Pat's website!
