although not in the db because of it's low peak chart position (#39 in late 1983), the 45 states a run time on the label as 3:40 and does indeed run that length and is an edit of the full length 3:56 version from the cd "you can't fight fashion".....aaron, thanks for the edit you did for me awhile ago!!!!

A while back, I conducted an A/B comparison between the 45 and LP of Michael Stanley Band's "My Town" and I recall thinking the 45 sounded slightly different, but I couldn't tell if it was due to mix differences or EQ. Does anyone know if the 45 was slightly remixed?

I don't recall any mix differences from when I made a custom edit a few years back. I might have missed something, though.

This is one of those songs that had many customized local versions with differnt city names inserted in the chorus. I grew up listening the the "Minneapolis!" version. Wish there was a way to track that one down...
