My commercial CD single of Babyface's "When Can I See You" contains the following track listing and actual run times:
1) LP Version - 3:48 (printed time: 3:50)
2) R&B Remix - 4:18 (printed time 4:20)
Does anyone hearing (or playing) the R&B Remix on Top 40 stations? Perhaps if anyone could furnish any promo CD single info, it might help shed some light on this.

Our station only played the LP version, for what it's worth.

Here is my promo CD single info:
Babyface-"When Can I See You" (ESK 6173) (no listed times) (jewel case sticker says "Includes New Remix Of...")
1-LP Version (actual 3:48)
2-R&B Remix (actual 4:18)
3-Instrumental (actual 4:18)
I also own a commercial CD single for this song, but mine has 6 tracks, not two tracks, like the one Todd owns. This CD also has a jewel case sticker, which says "Featuring New Interpretations By Roland Clark!". Here are this CD's details:

2-R&B Mix (listed 4:20; actual 4:17)
3-Ocean Dr. 7" (listed 3:36; actual 3:26)
4-Club 7" (listed 3:28; actual 3:25)
5-Extended Club Mix (listed 7:40; actual 7:32)
6-Urban Soul Basement Mix (listed 6:20; actual 6:17)

Thanks for the info, Jim and Ed. So evidently, all DJ and commercial copies of "When Can I See You Again" contain the "LP Version" and "R&B Remix". It would appear pop radio stations preferred the former, while R&B/hip-hop stations may have been more inclined to play the latter.

I just now realized I made a mistake with the timing info I reported in my initial post. The correct run time for the "LP Version" on the commercial CD single is 3:48 (not 3:34 as I originally reported). I've gone back and corrected this in my post. Pat, you might want to revise the database accordingly as well. Sorry.
