Hi All,
Just signed on and I am excited to be part of this dedicated group.
I searched the chat topics and did not see any reference to my particular thread so I hope that it's not a rehashing of things. If so, I apologize now.
Okay, I have two mp3 downloads of "Diamond Girl" by Seals & Croft. One being the 45 Length and the other being the LP Length. At 2 minutes and 3 seconds into the song on BOTH versions there is a glitch just after the line "Can't you feel the whole world is turning". This glitch or perhaps splice seems to be on every download I could find from various sources.
My question to the group: is this splice or glitch present on the original issued formats respectively or is this an anomaly only attributed the CD versions?
As I do not have a CD with this song and whereas my LP collection is not accessible at the present time, I would be curious to know if this issue has been ever present or a more recent development?
Thanks in advance for taking the time to verify.

My original UK 45 single and my US original 45 single have
the glitch present and audible. It's also on my US Warner
Brothers LP as well. Sounds like a glitchy tape splice.

Many thanks for confirming this, Kent!
Now, I can cross this one off the list of trying to find a glitch-free version.
