Anyone have any insight on how to create the single version of LRB's "Lady" (or even better, a CD-quality MP3 of said single version)? It's one of those singles that's not really a straight edit of the LP version (I believe the chorus is reprised and then faded out, if I remember the single properly, not even using a good chunk of the end of the LP version).
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Yeah, i can send you that, Doug.
I had made it using a dub of the 45 provided by EdisonLite. Just email me at the address in my profile.

Does Pat add this info to the database when the printed time and the actual run time are the same as each other? I always thought he only lists such things when there are discrepancies on the label, and that the discrepancy must be at least 3 seconds off.

i just mentioned it because there was NO notation how long the actual vinyl 45 is......for some, it may be helpful to know, with surety, what the actual 45's run time is.....

I see. You've got a point -- when the single edit/version is not available on any CD (and it's a different length than the album), the database should indicate how long the single is in the description under the title. I think that's what you're saying, and I agree. It's a good idea.

Has anyone found the single version on CD, foreign or domestic?
RELATED: Is that a different mix on the single, compared to the album version, or are the mixes identical? The mix sounds different to my ears in the video below, but I haven't A/B'd them to be sure.
...WOW, awkward edit at 3:02 on the single version...

Gene, I never noticed any mix differences when I created my own edit. If you notice anything specific, please share :)

I have done an a/b comparison between the promo single and the album version. There are not any mix differences, only the edits. I have a good quality 12" single version of the promo single in stereo. If anyone wants a copy, please let me know.
