Does anyone have any edition of the "King of Pop" compilation who could comment on the sound quality? I really can not believe how many different versions of this release there are from different countries with different track lists. I personally am most interested in the 3-disc "French Fan" version.

It's the same loud, compressed sound you'll find on all recent Michael Jackson CDs like "Essential," etc. Still worth having for the true 45 version of "Wanna Be Starin' Somethin'," which is the only place to get it. All the "King of Pop" comps use the correct 45 version of "Wanna Be," to my knowledge.

ok. thanks. My biggest interest is the complete song Carousel, which was previously only an excerpt on the Thriller reissue from last decade. But I thought if the sound was good on the bonus disc with all the 12" mixes, I could have them all on one CD instead of the numerous import CD singles I have of each song.
