The database currently lists Ace Cannon's "Tuff" as being the stereo LP version running 3:18 on the Best of the Hi Records Years CD (Hi/Right Stuff 27837). I'm wondering if there are two different pressings of this CD because my copy contains the mono 45 version and runs 2:19. The matrix number stamped along the outside of the CD hub is "724 352783724RE1".
By the way, does anyone know if a stereo 45 of "Tuff" can be successfully replicated from LP version, or does the mono 45 have unique mix and/or instrumentation differences that would make this impossible?

The Stereo LP version is a complete re-recording on "Aces Back To Back" over the original "Tuff-Sax" LP version. Mix on that early LP is different between the Mono and Stereo versions. Happens that I am a major Ace Cannon, Bill Black's Combo and Hi Records fan.

I don't yet have the stereo LP version, so thanks for clarifying that the 45 cannot be correctly replicated in stereo, KentT.
