I haven't seen a post on this as of yet, but this CD contains remixes of his
hits, done circa 2008/2009. They are pretty drastic remixes too. I am
undecided as to which ones I like vs. not, as with some, they are just so
different the feel of the song is changed. The strings are less pronounced
on the 60s songs, the percussion is enhanced, and the vocals are a bit
phasey-sounding on some.
"Galveston" runs the 45 length, which is the first time on CD for this,
"By The Time I Get To Phoenix" and a couple of others run longer
(database update for length required) and "I Wanna Live" is totally missing
the strings.
At any rate, it would be good if the database is updated to indicate
"remix" for songs on this CD.

Very heavily slathered with noise reduction. Bob Norberg mastered this. It sounds horrible. There's a budget CD on CEMA Special Products which is the only decent sounding CD of his hits. Vinyl rules here.

Would love to see his version of the "William Tell Overture" finally get a CD release. It was the flip side of the "Southern Nights" 45. Glen was an underrated guitarist and one heck of an entertainer. R.I.P. Mr. Campbell.

The Glen Campbell Collection a double CD release from
1997 has the William Tell Overture B side on the second
CD. A hard to find song only on a few releases. This
might be the first time I have seen it on CD. Not 100%
sure on that. For the most part the songs sound very
good, but no mono singles cuts all stereo. But hopefully
one day....

It states live with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra so
I assume it is the same as the B-side in 1975.

That's an incorrect assumption, Gary. Glen recorded "William Tell Overture" in the studio twice, a dozen years apart, and both versions were issued as 45 B-sides. In addition to the 1977 "Southern Nights" flip Santi already mentioned, an updated performance backed the Universal Records 66024 release of Glen's "She's Gone, Gone, Gone," which proved to be his final top-ten hit, reaching #6 on Billboard's country chart in 1989. This single was released in advance of the "forthcoming" Walkin' In The Sun album, which included both sides and did see a CD release.
The 1977 and 1989 versions are within two seconds of each other, timing-wise, and the tempos are pretty much the same. The most apparent differences mirror those that were raised in the original post: the '89 remake eschewed the orchestral backing, instead emphasizing the percussion and bass. It's very much in the late-'80s production style.
Both are definitely worth having, even if the first one remains AWOL on CD.

That's too bad about the B-side. Interesting that has
never been anywhere else except for the single. The info
on the CD said performed live,so I am taking that is
wrong info. No surprise about info being wrong? Horrors!

It's pretty bare-bones but I was very happily surprised
when I when I listened to this disc that I picked up in
the bargain bin. The sound on the hits is superb. I
have a sizable collection of Glen discs and VA comps
with his hits on them but this is easily the best I
have ever heard the original stereo mixes sound.
Definitely lowest generation tapes used and no remixing
or re-recording. I wish they could have put some more
songs on it but I'm very grateful that I have it now.
Highly recommended for a casual listener or a fan like
myself.

I only have one Glen Campbell collection, and I like it - The Very Best Of Glen Campbell (1987)
Seems to be low-generation source tapes, reasonable EQ, large dynamic range, no noise reduction, no shortening of the fades.
Might be worth checking out.

I have this one as well. One of the first Glen discs I
ever had. Quite good. I have to say the "Classic
Collection" I mentioned above is just that a tad better
on the common tracks. It even beat out all the Bill
Inglot stuff on Rhino VA comps when I did an A/B
comparison which really impressed me.
A friend I shared the disc with informed me that even
the HDTracks versions of the songs don't sound as good
as they do on "Classic Collection" disc.
This disc was mastered by Glenn Meadows in Nashville.
No traces of noise reduction, either. Quite a
revelation on songs like "Wichita Lineman" and
"Galveston".
