Hey all,
does anyone have the Club Nouveau Greatest hits CD on Thump records who can verify that the remix on there is indeed the original 12" version? I know there was another Club Nouveau Greatest Hits released that was actually all re-recordings, and I just want to verify that the original 12" version is on the Thump compilation before dropping any money on it. Thanks in advance.

Well, I took it upon myself to purchase the Thump Greatest Hits of Club Nouveau (which is sort of a Club Nouveau/Timex Social Club combo) and needless to say, all the tracks are rerecordings with the new line-up of singers. Sounds like it's all song over the original backing tracks though, but it's just awful.

Sorry to hear you had to sacrifice some cash to learn that the Club Nouveau Greatest Hits CD on Thump was full of re-recorded tracks. At the very least, you've done your fellow Top 40 CD collectors a valuable service by warning us and I appreciate that.
